REGINA: The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lee Harding as its new director and spokesman in the province of Saskatchewan.
Lee brings to the CTF a broad journalistic experience. He has interned as a television reporter in Regina with CBC and with CTV. He also reported for Global Regina in 2005 and 100 Huntley Street in 2006. Lee's writing has appeared in the National Post, Reuters, the Leader-Post, and Christian Week.
Harding grew up near Lafleche, Saskatchewan. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Briercrest College and served as interim pastor at Woodrow Gospel Chapel. He later worked at Delorme Seeds south of Assiniboia. Lee earned a journalism degree from the University of Regina while winning awards at the debate club and doing freestyle rap.
Harding fills the vacancy left by David Maclean who left as Saskatchewan director in August. Lee and his wife Tanis make their home in Regina and are the proud parents of one daughter.
"The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is pleased to have Lee aboard," said National Communications Director Troy Lanigan. "He assumes the position at an exciting time for Saskatchewan: an election campaign, followed by a fresh mandate in the midst of a growing economy."
The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is a federally incorporated non-profit and non-partisan organization dedicated to lower taxes, less waste and accountable government. Founded in 1990, the federation is independent of all partisan or institutional affiliation and is entirely funded by free-will, non tax-receiptable contributions. The CTF has 65,000 supporters and offices in five provincial capitals and Ottawa.
